Lisa before Lisa wet

A Splash of Summer

This story was inspired by "Lisa at the Summer Party" by Bruno

The golden glow of sunset spilled over the garden as Lisa stepped into the summer party, her every movement deliberate, her outfit chosen to turn heads. She wore a flowing, emerald-green sundress, light enough to flutter with each step, but clingy enough to hint at the curves beneath. The fabric was soft, almost whispering against her skin, and the neckline dipped just enough to tease. Beneath it, she’d chosen lace-trimmed underwear, delicate and barely noticeable, but the kind that made her feel deliciously confident. Her strappy gold heels added an extra sway to her hips, their slender straps wrapping around her ankles like secrets waiting to be shared.

A small, beaded clutch dangled from her fingers, catching the light as she moved. Around her neck, a thin silver chain glinted, drawing eyes to the hollow of her throat. She wasn’t just dressed for a party, she was dressed for attention.

Lisa sipped her punch, the sweet tang of fruit dancing on her tongue as she laughed at some joke, her fingers brushing against the arms of her colleagues from the bank. But the real fun began when she wandered toward the pool. She hadn’t known it was there, but the shimmering blue water was too tempting to ignore.

"Oh, I wouldn’t dare," she called over her shoulder as she tiptoed dangerously close to the edge, her heels clicking against the tiles. She mimed a dive, her dress billowing around her thighs, and the crowd erupted in laughter.

"Lisa, don’t you dare," teased James, one of her friends, his voice thick with amusement.

"Wouldn’t dream of it," she purred, stepping onto the springboard. The thin metal bent slightly under her weight, and she wobbled, just enough to make the men around her hold their breath. A hand shot out, giving her a playful shove. Lisa let out a gasp, her arms windmilling for balance before she steadied herself, her heart racing. She stepped back, but not before flashing a smirk at the group. "You almost got me that time," but in reality, the water had looked so cool and inviting that she found herself secretly wishing that she'd actually gone in.

The real fun started when two of the guys, James and Tom, decided to take her up on the challenge. Before she could protest, strong arms wrapped around her, lifting her off the ground. Lisa squealed, kicking her legs as they carried her toward the pool.

"Put me down!" she laughed, though her protests were half-hearted. The skirt of her dress rode up, revealing long, toned legs, and the catcalls from the crowd only fuelled her excitement.

"You asked for this," James grinned, swinging her over the water.

Lisa’s stomach flipped as she hung suspended, the cool air rushing against her bare skin. "I did not!" she lied, breathless.

The moment James and Tom swung her over the pool, Lisa’s stomach lurched, not with fear, but with a giddy, breathless anticipation. "Oh God, they’re actually going to do it," the thought barely formed before the world tilted, and she was falling.

The water hit her like a lover’s embrace, cold, sudden, and everywhere. Her dress, that beautiful emerald-green thing she’d chosen to tease and tempt, billowed around her for half a second before the fabric surrendered, drinking in the water until it clung to her like a second skin. The chill seeped through the lace of her underwear, the delicate fabric now plastered against her, and Lisa’s breath hitched. It wasn’t just the cold; it was the feeling of it, the way the water turned the lace into something alive, something that dragged just slightly with every movement, sending little sparks of sensation through her. This is ridiculous. This is amazing.

"Oh no, my shoes." The heels, those gorgeous strappy gold things, filled instantly. She could feel the water sloshing inside them as she kicked, the leather groaning in protest. The straps, once snug, now felt loose and clumsy, the buckles digging into her skin as the soles slipped on the pool’s slick tiles. They’re ruined. Completely ruined. A laugh bubbled up in her throat. Who cared? They’d been worth it for this, this wild, reckless moment.

Then she remembered her clutch.

"No. No, no, no"

Too late. The little beaded bag had been tucked under her arm when they’d lifted her, and now it was submerged, the beads darkening as the threads soaked through. She fumbled for it underwater, her fingers brushing against the ruined contents. Her phone, dead, the screen already black. Her lipstick, the bold red she’d so carefully applied, now floating free, the colour bleeding into the water like a wound. The perfume rollerball, the crumpled receipt, the single pound coin, all of it lost to the pool’s greedy depths.

For a second, she hesitated. That was my favourite perfume. That dress cost, But then the guys were laughing, splashing her, and the frustration dissolved into something lighter, something hotter. Let it all be ruined. Let the dress cling. Let the shoes squelch. Let the clutch sink to the bottom of the pool like a sacrificed offering.

She surfaced with a gasp, her hair plastered to her face, her dress now a scandalous second skin. The lace of her underwear was visible through the wet fabric, and the guys whistled. Lisa grinned, wringing out the hem of her skirt with deliberate slowness, letting the water cascade back into the pool.

Lisa reclaimed her clutch, and with a sigh held it up to show the guys.

"Well, that’s that," she laughed, letting it drop back into the water with a plop. No one cared. The party was too alive, and so was she.

As she climbed out, the dress clung to her like a lover’s embrace, the wet lace of her underwear cool against her skin. She wrung out the hem of her skirt, water cascading down her legs, and for a moment, she just stood there, letting the evening air kiss her damp skin. The ruined shoes squelched with every step, the leather now darkened and warped, but Lisa didn’t mind. She felt electric, every nerve alight. The water had claimed her clothes, her shoes, her clutch, but it had given her something better: the thrill of being utterly, deliciously alive.

She swam to the edge, her dress now transparent in places, the lace of her underwear just visible beneath. Lisa surfaced with a gasp, her dress clinging to her like it was painted on, the lace of her underwear just visible beneath the soaked fabric. She wrung out the hem of her skirt, water dripping down her legs, her laughter ringing out as she caught her breath. The ruined shoes squelched with every step as she climbed out of the pool, the cool evening air raising goosebumps on her damp skin.

James couldn’t look away. He stood there, his drink forgotten in his hand, his gaze tracing the way the wet fabric outlined her curves, the way her hair clung to her neck, the way her lips parted as she caught her breath.

"You’re incredible," he said, his voice low, almost rough. The words slipped out before he could stop them, but he didn’t care. "I mean, God, Lisa, you’re beautiful. Especially like this."

His eyes darkened as he took a step closer, his voice dropping to a murmur meant only for her.

Lisa’s breath hitched. She turned to face him fully, her heart pounding. The water had ruined her dress, her shoes, her clutch, but in that moment, none of it mattered. She had secretly fancied James for months, and now all she could see was the heat in his eyes as his gaze lingered over her, like she was the only person at the party.

"James?" she teased, her voice barely above a whisper. She took a step toward him, the wet hem of her skirt brushing against his legs. "Like what you see?"

James didn’t answer with words. Instead, he reached out, his fingers skimming her waist, pulling her closer. "Like this," he confirmed, his voice husky. "Just like this." The air between them crackled. Lisa tilted her head up, her lips parting slightly as she met his gaze. "Then what are you waiting for?"

That was all the invitation he needed. James cupped her face in his hands and kissed her, his lips warm against hers, his touch sending a shiver down her spine. The crowd around them faded into a blur of noise and colour, the party nothing more than background music to this moment. Lisa melted into him, her hands finding their way to his chest, her wet dress pressing against his shirt. "Come on," she murmured against his lips, her fingers tangling in his. "I'm getting hot, throw me back in pool."

"My pleasure," James lifted her up and jumped into the pool. The water lapped around them as they stood in the pool, their bodies pressed together, the world narrowing to the heat between them. The cool water contrasted with the fire of James’s touch, his hands sliding over the slick fabric of her dress, tracing the curves of her waist, her hips, her thighs. The emerald-green sundress, now effectively transparent in places, clung to her like a second skin, revealing the delicate lace of her bra and panties beneath.

James’s breath hitched as his fingers found the thin strap of her bra, his thumb brushing over the damp lace. "You’re unbelievable," he murmured, his voice rough with desire. His other hand slid lower, his palm skimming over the wet fabric of her dress, feeling the outline of her panties beneath. The lace was cool and slick against his fingers, the water making it cling to her in a way that left nothing to the imagination.

Lisa arched into his touch, her breath coming faster as his hands explored her. "James," she whispered, her voice a mix of warning and invitation. His fingers traced the edge of her panties, teasing the damp lace, and she shivered, her body responding to every movement. The water around them rippled as she pressed closer, her hands gripping his shoulders, her nails digging in slightly as his touch grew bolder.

James’s hands moved with deliberate slowness, his fingers slipping beneath the hem of her dress to trace the line of her panties, the lace now soaked and clinging to her skin. "You drive me crazy," he admitted, his lips brushing against her ear as his fingers explored the damp fabric. "Especially like this. All wet. All mine."

Lisa’s breath caught in her throat as his fingers slid beneath the lace, his touch sending a jolt of pleasure through her. The water around them seemed to pulse with the rhythm of their hearts, the coolness of the pool contrasting with the heat of their bodies. She could feel the hardness of his chest against hers, the damp fabric of his shirt clinging to his skin, and it only made her want more.

His hands moved higher, his fingers finding the clasp of her bra, teasing it open with practiced ease. The lace fell away, the water rushing in to cool her heated skin, but Lisa barely noticed. All she could focus on was James, his hands, his lips, the way he made her feel like the only person in the world. "James," she breathed, her voice barely a whisper as his lips found hers again. The water around them seemed to still, the world narrowing to just the two of them, their bodies entwined, their desires finally unleashed.

The moment Lisa and James finally pulled apart, the world rushed back in, a blur of laughter, music, and the distant hum of the party. But none of it mattered. Lisa’s dress, now completely soaked, clung to her like a second skin, the thin fabric leaving nothing to the imagination. The lace of her panties was still visible through the translucent green, her bra long since abandoned at the bottom of the pool. The cool night air hit her damp skin, making her shiver, but not from cold. Her nipples, hardened by the water and James’s touch, pressed against the fabric, impossible to ignore. She could feel the weight of his gaze on her, the heat in his eyes as he took in every detail.

James didn’t hesitate. He slipped off his soaked linen jacket and draped it over her, his fingers lingering as he pulled it closed.

The moment James draped his damp linen jacket over Lisa’s shoulders, a shiver ran through her, not from the chill, but from the thrill of it. The fabric was warm from his body, the scent of his cologne, something woodsy and faintly spiced, mingling with the chlorine still clinging to her skin. The jacket was oversized, swallowing her in a way that made her feel both protected and deliciously exposed. Beneath it, her soaked dress clung to her like a second skin, the thin fabric revealing every curve, every detail of the lace panties still clinging to her hips. The contrast was intoxicating: the rough texture of the jacket against her bare arms, the cool slickness of the dress beneath it, the way the lace of her panties dragged slightly against her skin with every movement.

Lisa burrowed deeper into the jacket, inhaling the scent of him as she glanced up at James. His eyes darkened as he watched her, his gaze lingering on the way the jacket gaped open just enough to tease. She could feel the weight of his stare, the heat of it, and it sent a pulse of excitement through her. This is his jacket. His scent. His hands were just all over me. The thought alone made her breath hitch.

"Come on," he murmured, his voice low and rough, his hand finding the small of her back as he guided her toward the edge of the pool. Lisa let him lead her, her bare feet padding softly against the wet tiles, the ruined heels long forgotten. His shirt was still damp, clinging to his chest, his trousers darkened at the thighs where the water had soaked through. He looked deliciously undone, hair tousled, lips slightly swollen from kissing her, his usual composure replaced by something raw and hungry.

But then she remembered, her bra, her clutch, the scattered contents sinking to the bottom of the pool. A mischievous grin tugged at her lips. "I’ll be right back," she murmured, slipping the jacket off her shoulders and handing it to James. His eyebrows shot up in surprise, but before he could protest, she turned and dove back into the pool.

The water swallowed her instantly, cool and silken against her bare skin. She kicked deeper, her dress floating around her like a ghostly halo as she reached the bottom. There it was, her bra, the lace tangled in the pool’s drain, the delicate straps swaying with the current. She snatched it up, her fingers brushing against the ruined clutch nearby. The beads had dulled, the threads frayed, but she scooped it up anyway, laughing as the contents, her phone, the lipstick, the perfume rollerball, spilled into her palm, hopelessly waterlogged.

Lisa surfaced with a gasp, her hair plastered to her face, her dress clinging to her like a second skin. She held up the sodden bra and the ruined clutch, water dripping from her fingers.James stood at the pool’s edge, his jacket in one hand, his expression a mix of amusement and something far more intense.

"Find everything?" he asked, his voice rough with anticipation.

Lisa hesitated for just a second, her mind flashing to the strappy gold heels she’d abandoned at the bottom of the pool. "Oh God, my shoes." They’d been her favourite, delicate, expensive, utterly impractical for swimming. She could already picture them, the leather warped, the straps loose, the gold metallic finish dulled by the water. Ruined. Completely ruined. But the thought of leaving them there, languishing in the depths like some kind of sacrificial offering, made her chest tighten. They might be destroyed, but they were hers.

"Almost," she said, her voice teasing but laced with determination. She took a deep breath and dove back under, her dress billowing around her like a jellyfish’s tendrils. The pool tiles were slick beneath her fingers as she kicked toward the shallow end, where she’d last seen the heels. There they were, one half-submerged near the steps, the other lying on its side a little farther away, the straps floating lazily in the current.

She snatched them up, her fingers brushing against the ruined leather. The soles were already peeling, the once-sleek straps now limp and waterlogged. Yep. Definitely dead. But she couldn’t bring herself to leave them behind. With a final push, she surfaced again, the heels clutched in her hand like some kind of bizarre trophy.

James burst out laughing as she emerged, the heels dripping water onto the poolside tiles. "You had to save the shoes?" he asked, shaking his head in disbelief.

Lisa grinned, holding them up with a shrug. "They were expensive," she said, though they both knew they were far beyond saving. She tossed them onto the deck with a wet thud, where they landed next to her bra, a sad little pile of ruined finery.

James chuckled, stepping closer and wrapping his jacket around her shoulders again. "You’re impossible," he murmured, but his voice was warm, his hands lingering as he pulled her against him.

Lisa leaned into him, the jacket swallowing her. The heels could rot for all she cared now. She had what she wanted, James’s hands on her, his lips close to hers, the thrill of the night still humming through her veins.

"Worth it," she whispered, tilting her head up to meet his kiss. The shoes, the dress, the clutch, none of it mattered. Not when she could feel the heat of him, the way his body responded to hers, the way the night seemed to stretch out endlessly before them.

They moved quickly, slipping away from the party unnoticed, or perhaps everyone was just too polite to stare. The night air was cool against her exposed legs as they made their way to James’s car, parked a little distance away. Lisa could feel the jacket brushing against her thighs with every step, the fabric of her dress still clinging beneath it, a constant reminder of what had just happened. Of what was still to come.

James opened the passenger door for her, his hand brushing against hers as she slid inside. The leather seat was cool against the back of her thighs, and she pulled the jacket tighter around her, watching as he walked around to the driver’s side. His eyes never left hers. As he started the engine, the heater kicked on, warm air rushing over her damp skin. Lisa leaned back in the seat, the jacket parting just enough to reveal the outline of her body beneath the sheer dress. James’s gaze flicked to her legs, then back to the road, his jaw tightening. "You’re killing me," he muttered, shifting gears with a sharpness that betrayed his focus, or lack thereof.

James pulled up outside Lisa’s flat, the car engine purring softly as he turned to her, his hand brushing against hers. "Tonight was…" he started, but the words seemed to fail him. Instead, he leaned in, capturing her lips in one last, lingering kiss before murmuring, "I’ll call you tomorrow."

Lisa smiled, her fingers tracing his jawline before she slipped out of the car, leaving the jacket on the seat. The night air was cool against her skin, but she barely felt it. She was still buzzing, her body humming with the memory of his touch, the way his hands had explored her in the pool, the heat of his lips against hers.

Once inside her flat, she didn’t bother with the lights. In her bedroom she kicked off what was left of her dignity, her ruined panties, and stepped out of the dress. It was stiff with dried chlorine, the fabric crinkling as she let it fall to the floor. She picked it up, running her fingers over the salt-stained lace and the hem, still darkened from the pool.

A wicked idea struck her. "I’m not ready to let go of tonight just yet."

Her clothes still smelt of chlorine, and needed rinsing, so she carefully got dressed again, then she reached for the ruined gold heels, the leather still damp and warped, the straps loose and limp. Slipping her feet into them, she fastened the buckles, though they barely held. The sensation was strange, uncomfortable, even, but thrilling as she anticipated what comes next.

Next, she grabbed the sodden clutch, its beads still damp, the threads frayed. She repacked it with its ruined contents, the dead phone, the bleeding lipstick, the waterlogged perfume rollerball, and draped the strap over her shoulder. The weight of it against her hip felt like a secret, naughty indulgence.

As she entered that bathroom her heels wobbled beneath her, the soles slick against the tiles, a physical reminder of the night’s recklessness.

Then, she stepped into the shower. The water hit her like a wave, soaking through the dress once again, flooding into her underwear, the fabric clinging to her skin instantly. The chlorine smell rose again, mixing with the steam, and Lisa closed her eyes, her head tilting back as the water cascaded over her. The dress grew heavy, the lace of her bra dragging against her skin.

The heels squelched beneath her, the water pooling in the ruined leather, she held her clutch under the shower, filling it to overflowing, and she laughed, the sound echoing off the tiles.

"God, I love this."

Tomorrow she'd need a new phone, for when James calls.
